Baba Mahakal to Make Six City Tours in Ujjain, Ending at Dussehra Maidan on Vijayadashami

Ujjain's iconic deity Baba Mahakal is set to embark on a series of six city processions spanning the Hindu months of Ashwin and Margashirsha. Each tour will see the deity taken out of the Mahakaleshwar Temple on a ceremonial palanquin, allowing devotees across the city to offer prayers and witness the traditional rites. The schedule aligns with the broader festive calendar, culminating in a grand finale on Vijayadashami. On that day, the procession will make its way to the historic Dussehra Maidan, a central venue for the city's Navratri celebrations. Temple officials have confirmed that the six tours are part of an annual tradition aimed at reinforcing communal harmony and preserving Ujjain's cultural heritage.
