Baba Mahakal Idol Adorned with Bhang, Presented as Lord Ganesha for Darshan in Madhya Pradesh

A religious ceremony in Madhya Pradesh saw the Baba Mahakal idol covered in bhang, a traditional preparation of cannabis, and presented to the public in the form of Lord Ganesha. The decoration transformed the usual appearance of the deity, aligning it with the festive symbolism associated with Ganesha.
The bhang adornment was applied to the idol's head and shoulders, creating a distinctive green hue that attracted attention from pilgrims gathered at the temple. Organisers indicated that the practice draws on cultural traditions where bhang is offered during certain Hindu festivals.
Devotees gathered to receive darshan of the uniquely presented Baba Mahakal, expressing reverence while noting the unusual but culturally resonant presentation. No further details on the timing or future similar events were released.
