During the early morning Bhism Aarti at Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, Baba Mahakal was anointed with Panchamrit, then crowned with a silver tiara and a mund mala, drawing a large crowd eager to see the deity adorned with Tripund and a moon motif.
Ujjain's iconic Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple hosted the Bhism Aarti early this morning, marking a significant ritual for devotees across the city. The ceremony began with the traditional Panchamrit abhishek, where the deity was bathed in a mixture of sacred substances.
Following the abhishek, priests placed a silver crown on Baba Mahakal's head and draped a mund mala around his neck, enhancing the deity's sanctified appearance. The idol was further embellished with Tripund markings and a symbolic moon emblem, aligning with the auspicious Panchami day.
The visual splendor attracted a throng of worshippers who gathered in the temple courtyard, chanting and cheering as the adorned deity was displayed. Organizers noted that the turnout was unusually large, reflecting the deep reverence for Mahakal and the cultural importance of the Bhism Aarti in the region.
