A Special Investigation Team headed by Kiran S. has been constituted to investigate the alleged theft of donations meant for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The team includes the district’s DIG and SSP and will submit its report to the state government.
A report filed with the Uttar Pradesh government has alleged that a large sum of money donated for the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has gone missing. In response, the state government has ordered the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the matter.
The SIT will be headed by Kiran S., a senior police officer with experience in handling high‑profile cases. The team will also include the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and the Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Ayodhya district.
The investigators are expected to examine bank records, donation receipts and any other evidence that could shed light on how the funds were diverted. They will also interview witnesses and officials involved in the donation process.
Once the investigation is complete, the SIT will submit a detailed report to the state government, which will decide on further action based on the findings.
