The sequel Awarapan 2 reached a cumulative box‑office collection of Rs 100 crore on its sixth day, while Deol’s Batwara 1947 is still short of the Rs 50 crore mark.
Awarapan 2, the latest release starring Hashmi, recorded a total gross of Rs 100 crore by the end of its sixth day in theatres, according to figures released by ETV Bharat. The milestone places the film among the few Indian releases to breach the six‑figure crore bracket within a week.
In contrast, Batwara 1947, headlined by actor Dharmendra Deol, has amassed just under Rs 50 crore in the same period, indicating a slower earnings trajectory compared with the Hashmi starrer.
Box‑office analysts note that Awarapan 2’s strong performance is driven by wide screen coverage and robust weekend footfall, while Batwara 1947’s earnings are being bolstered by regional audiences but remain below the half‑crore threshold. Both films continue to run across major multiplexes and single‑screen venues nationwide.
