A lone assailant struck the Nankasar Gurdwara in Edmonton on the morning of Aug 21, injuring two worshippers and prompting a police investigation.
On the morning of 21 August, at approximately 5 a.m., a single individual entered the Nankasar Gurdwara in Edmonton, Canada, and carried out an attack. The incident took place within the premises of the Sikh place of worship, which is frequented by the local community for daily prayers.
The assault resulted in two people sustaining injuries. Both victims were promptly attended to by emergency responders and were taken for medical care. In addition to the physical harm, reports emerged that the attacker showed disrespect towards the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism, further heightening community concern.
