The Election Commission has begun the electoral roll revision in Assam, with draft rolls scheduled for publication on 12 November.
The Election Commission of India has officially kicked off the electoral roll revision process in the northeastern state of Assam. The exercise aims to update the list of eligible voters ahead of upcoming elections.
According to the commission, a draft version of the revised rolls will be made public on 12 November. Voters will be able to examine the draft, submit objections or corrections, and ensure that their details are accurately reflected.
The final roll, incorporating verified changes, will be prepared after the objection period closes. The updated list is expected to streamline voter registration and reduce discrepancies for the next electoral cycle in the state.
