The blast occurred while the Assam Rifles unit was conducting a routine patrol. The device, placed on the roadside, exploded as the soldiers passed.
Rescue teams were dispatched immediately to the site. The injured soldiers were transported to a military hospital for treatment.
An Assam Rifles spokesperson confirmed that investigations are underway to identify the perpetrators.
