In a coordinated operation, Assam Rifles and Indian Army teams dismantled 27 improvised explosive devices across Manipur, simultaneously arresting suspected militants and a drug peddler.
Earlier this week, Assam Rifles and Indian Army units conducted a joint operation in Manipur, dismantling 27 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) that had been planted across the state.
The teams also apprehended several individuals suspected of militant activity, along with a drug peddler who was found in possession of illegal narcotics. All IEDs were safely neutralised without any casualties.
The operation, carried out in multiple locations, highlights the ongoing threat of insurgency and drug trafficking in the region and is part of broader efforts to curb militant influence in Manipur.
