Assam CM Urges West Bengal Govt to Protect Madhupur Satra

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has urged the West Bengal government to work jointly in protecting the Madhupur Satra, a prominent religious institution in the state.

The call came as part of a broader effort to ensure the preservation of cultural heritage sites that lie near the Assam–West Bengal border.

Sarma emphasized that coordinated action between the two state governments would strengthen security and conservation measures for the Satra.

The Madhupur Satra, located in West Bengal, is a significant centre of Vaishnavite tradition and attracts devotees from across the region.
