Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma clarified that an ambulance was stopped for only half a minute and that the patient’s death was unrelated to a nearby convoy.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed the media on Thursday, stating that an ambulance transporting a patient was halted for merely 30 seconds. He emphasized that the brief pause was due to a convoy passing through the area, but it did not cause any delay in medical care.

The CM further asserted that the patient’s subsequent death was not a consequence of the short stoppage. According to his remarks, the medical condition of the individual was already critical, and the timing of the death was unrelated to the convoy’s movement.

Sarma’s clarification comes amid circulating rumors linking the convoy to the fatality. By providing these details, the state government aims to dispel misinformation and reassure the public that emergency services were not compromised.
