Chief Minister Pema Khandu said Arunachal Pradesh has seen marked economic growth and improved transport and digital links over the last ten years.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu told India Today NE that Arunachal Pradesh has undergone a substantial transformation in both its economy and connectivity during the past decade. He emphasized that the state’s growth trajectory has shifted from being largely isolated to becoming increasingly integrated with national markets.

The administration points to a series of infrastructure projects that have reshaped the region: new national highways and state roads linking remote valleys, strategically built bridges over major rivers, upgraded airstrips in Itanagar and other districts, and the rollout of broadband and mobile networks in previously unserved villages.

These developments have translated into higher economic activity, with tourism, horticulture, and small‑scale manufacturing gaining momentum. Investment inflows have risen as private players respond to better logistics and a more reliable power supply, while local entrepreneurs benefit from easier access to markets.

Looking ahead, the state government plans to extend the connectivity push to the most inaccessible border areas, focusing on sustainable infrastructure and digital inclusion to ensure that growth reaches every community across Arunachal Pradesh.
