The Arunachal Pradesh Cricket Association announced that the state will not field a team in this season's Vinoo Mankad Trophy, the BCCI's under‑19 tournament.
The Vinoo Mankad Trophy, organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), is the country’s flagship under‑19 domestic competition, featuring state teams vying for national recognition.
The Arunachal Pradesh Cricket Association confirmed that no squad will represent the state in the upcoming edition of the tournament. The association released a brief statement indicating the decision but did not provide detailed reasons.
As a result, Arunachal’s young cricketers will miss the exposure and competitive experience that the tournament offers, while the BCCI will proceed with the schedule without a team from the northeastern state.
