The state government unveiled Vision 2036, a roadmap to train a lakh young people and provide assistance to ten thousand budding entrepreneurs.

Arunachal Pradesh’s administration announced the rollout of Vision 2036, a comprehensive development plan aimed at equipping 100,000 young residents with market‑relevant skills over the next decade. The scheme will be implemented through a network of training centres, industry partnerships and digital platforms to ensure wide‑reach across the state’s remote districts.

The initiative also earmarks support for 10,000 aspiring entrepreneurs, offering seed funding, mentorship and access to incubation facilities. Officials said the assistance will focus on sectors such as tourism, agro‑processing, renewable energy and information technology, which are identified as growth drivers for the region.

State officials highlighted that Vision 2036 aligns with the central government’s Skill India and Startup India missions, aiming to curb out‑migration by creating local employment opportunities. The plan is expected to generate thousands of jobs and stimulate private investment in the state’s emerging industries.

Implementation will be monitored by a dedicated task force reporting to the Chief Minister’s office, with periodic reviews to track skill‑training outcomes and entrepreneurial success rates. The government has invited private firms and NGOs to collaborate in delivering the programme’s components.

If successful, Vision 2036 could transform Arunachal Pradesh’s socio‑economic landscape, positioning it as a hub for skilled talent and innovative startups in the Northeast.
