Arunachal Pradesh introduces tribal mother tongue textbooks for Classes VI–VIII

Arunachal Pradesh has taken a significant step toward preserving its linguistic diversity by introducing tribal mother tongue textbooks for students in Classes VI to VIII. These books will be taught as a third language in schools across the state.

The initiative aims to strengthen cultural identity and ensure that indigenous languages are passed on to younger generations. By integrating local dialects into the formal curriculum, the state government hopes to encourage greater engagement with regional heritage.
