The government of Arunachal Pradesh and the Arunachal Students' Union (ANSU) announced that they have reached a consensus, prompting the withdrawal of a 48‑hour bandh that was to be observed across the state.
The bandh, initially announced as a protest measure, has been called off after intensive discussions between government officials and ANSU representatives. Both sides said the talks addressed the core concerns that led to the bandh call.
Authorities assured the public that normal civic and commercial activities will resume immediately and that no further disruptions are expected in the near term.
