A prominent Christian organisation in Arunachal Pradesh has alleged that certain banking software prevents Christian users from selecting the Scheduled Tribe option during digital transactions.
The Christian body stated that the software interface used by several banks does not display the ST category option for users who identify as Christian, effectively blocking their ability to avail tribal benefits online. It said this issue raises concerns about digital inclusion and equitable access to government schemes for Christian tribals in the state.
