ArSRLM inks MoUs with seven agencies to train rural youth under DDU‑GKY 2.0

The Arunachal State Rural Livelihood Mission signed memoranda of understanding with seven partner agencies to deliver skill‑training programmes for rural youth under the central DDU‑GKY 2.0 scheme.
Arunachal State Rural Livelihood Mission (ArSRLM) formalised agreements with seven agencies to implement skill‑development programmes for rural youth under the second phase of the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU‑GKY 2.0). The MoUs were signed in a ceremony held in Arunachal Pradesh, signalling a coordinated effort to expand vocational training opportunities in the state.
The partner agencies, selected for their expertise in various trades, will deliver short‑term courses, on‑the‑job training and placement assistance aimed at enhancing employability of young people from remote villages. The collaboration aligns with the central government’s goal of creating sustainable livelihoods for rural youth and reducing migration to urban centres.
Under DDU‑GKY 2.0, beneficiaries are expected to receive industry‑relevant certification and support to secure jobs in both the formal and informal sectors. ArSRLM officials indicated that the initiative will target thousands of youths across the state, though exact enrollment figures were not disclosed at the signing.
