Approximately 8,000 candidates from Gujarat are scheduled to appear for the NEET PG entrance test on Sunday, marking a significant participation from the state.
On Sunday, close to 8,000 medical graduates from Gujarat are slated to sit for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post‑Graduation (NEET PG), the premier exam for postgraduate medical seats across India.
The NEET PG, administered by the National Board of Examinations, serves as the single gateway for admission to MD, MS and diploma courses in government and private institutions. Gujarat's strong turnout reflects the state's growing pool of aspiring specialists.
State health and education officials have coordinated with the NBE to set up examination centres in major cities such as Ahmedabad, Surat and Vadodara, ensuring smooth logistics for the large candidate pool.
Results are expected to be announced in the coming weeks, after which successful candidates will be allocated seats in various specialties based on their scores and preferences.
