The Association of People with Disability (APWD) has inaugurated the ‘AS I AM’ campaign, a nationwide initiative aimed at reshaping public attitudes towards disability across India.

APWD has officially launched the ‘AS I AM’ campaign, a national movement designed to redefine how India perceives disability. The initiative seeks to challenge stereotypes, promote inclusion, and encourage people to see disability as a part of human diversity rather than a limitation. The launch took place on Thursday at the National Assembly Hall in New Delhi, where APWD’s executive director addressed a gathering of activists, policymakers, and media representatives. The organization plans to roll out a series of public awareness programs, workshops, and media outreach efforts over the coming months to embed the campaign’s message across the country.
