The Andhra Pradesh State Power Distribution Company Limited reported that its phone‑in service logged 2,249 complaints, of which 1,898 have been resolved, according to The Hindu.

Andhra Pradesh State Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) disclosed that its customer‑care helpline received a total of 2,249 complaints during the reporting period. The utility said that 1,898 of those grievances have been addressed and closed, reflecting a resolution rate of roughly 84 per cent.

The remaining 351 complaints are still under investigation, with APSPDCL officials indicating that they are working to resolve technical faults, billing disputes and service interruptions reported by consumers. The company has not released a detailed breakdown of complaint categories.

APSPDCL’s spokesperson reiterated the firm’s commitment to improving service quality and urged customers to continue using the helpline for prompt assistance. The data was published in a recent report cited by The Hindu.

The utility, which supplies electricity to over 1.5 crore consumers across Andhra Pradesh, has been under pressure to enhance responsiveness after a series of power‑related disruptions earlier this year.

Stakeholders are watching the resolution trend closely, as effective complaint handling is seen as a key metric for the state’s power sector performance.
