Apollo Hospitals and ePlane have announced a collaboration to deploy air ambulance services across India, aiming to enhance emergency medical response.
Apollo Hospitals and ePlane have joined forces to bring air ambulance services into India’s emergency care network. The partnership will see Apollo’s medical expertise combined with ePlane’s aviation capabilities to provide rapid transport for critical patients.
The collaboration aims to reduce response times in emergencies, especially in remote or congested areas where ground transport can be delayed. By integrating air ambulances into the existing network, patients can receive specialist care faster and improve survival rates.
Deployment plans include establishing a fleet of helicopters equipped with medical equipment and staffed by trained medical crews. The service will initially cover major cities and then expand to smaller towns.
Both companies emphasize that the initiative will be integrated with existing emergency services, ensuring seamless handover and coordination with hospitals.
