The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee has written to the Union government, requesting a joint all‑party parliamentary delegation be sent to the state’s frontier region.
The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has sent a formal letter to the Prime Minister’s Office urging the Union government to organise a joint all‑party parliamentary delegation to the Arunachal frontier. The request highlights the need for a bipartisan team to assess security and development issues along the border.
The appeal comes at a time when the India‑China frontier in Arunachal Pradesh remains strategically sensitive. APCC officials argue that a combined delegation from both the ruling party and opposition would demonstrate national unity and enable a comprehensive on‑ground evaluation.
According to the committee, the delegation should include members of Parliament from across the political spectrum and should interact with local administrators, security forces and residents to gauge the situation. The APCC has asked for prompt action, citing the importance of coordinated responses to any border incidents.
The Centre has not yet issued a public response to the appeal, but the request adds to growing political pressure for enhanced infrastructure and security measures in the border region.
