The Speaker of Andhra Pradesh's Legislative Assembly has urged the government to take action against legislators who have been absent from sessions.
The Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Mr. X, has formally requested that the state government investigate and penalise members who have repeatedly missed assembly sittings.
The call comes amid growing concerns that absenteeism is undermining the functioning of the legislature and delaying the passage of key bills.
