Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited Naidupeta on Thursday to formally hand over newly constructed houses to a group of beneficiaries under the state‑run TIDCO housing scheme. The ceremony, organized by the Telangana Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), marked the completion of the project phase aimed at providing affordable homes to low‑income families in the region.
During the event, the chief minister presented the keys to the recipients, emphasizing the government’s commitment to improving living standards and addressing housing shortages across the state. He highlighted that the scheme aligns with broader welfare initiatives that seek to deliver basic amenities and secure shelter to marginalized sections of society.
Officials from the TIDCO and the state housing department were present to oversee the handover and to ensure that the allotted units meet the stipulated quality standards. The beneficiaries, selected based on eligibility criteria set by the scheme, expressed gratitude for the timely delivery of their homes.
The TIDCO housing programme, launched earlier this year, aims to construct thousands of dwellings across Andhra Pradesh, targeting both rural and semi‑urban areas. The Naidupeta distribution is one of several phased roll‑outs planned for the coming months.
