Andhra Pradesh to set up fire station in every assembly constituency

The Andhra Pradesh government, through its Home Department, said it will establish a fire station in every assembly constituency of the state. The decision was announced by the minister responsible for fire services, underscoring the administration’s focus on public safety.\nThe scheme is intended to plug gaps in fire‑fighting capacity, especially in rural and semi‑urban constituencies that currently lack dedicated stations. By placing a station in each of the 175 constituencies, officials expect faster response times and better protection of lives and property.\nFunding for the project will come from the state’s disaster‑management budget, and each station is slated to become operational within the next two years.
