Andhra Pradesh to Hold Municipal Elections on Oct 28, Panchayat Polls in Three Phases

The State Election Commission of Andhra Pradesh announced that municipal elections across the state will be held on October 28. In parallel, the commission has outlined a three‑phase schedule for the upcoming panchayat elections, though specific dates for each phase were not disclosed in the announcement. These elections will determine local representatives for urban bodies and rural village councils, influencing governance at the grassroots level. Voter registration drives and polling arrangements are being intensified to ensure smooth conduct of both urban and rural polls. The dual schedule reflects the commission's effort to streamline local democratic processes ahead of the fiscal year.
