The Andhra Pradesh government has withdrawn the suspension of IPS officers Kanthi Rana Tata and Vishal Gunni, who were held pending investigation in the Jethwani case.

The state government of Andhra Pradesh announced today that the suspension of two Indian Police Service officers, Kanthi Rana Tata and Vishal Gunni, has been revoked. Both officers had been suspended earlier as part of the ongoing Jethwani investigation, which involves allegations of misconduct by senior police officials.

The order to lift the suspension was issued by the state’s Home Department, citing a review of the case file and the officers' service records. Officials said the decision reflects a reassessment of the evidence and the officers' cooperation with the inquiry.

The revocation restores the officers to active duty, allowing them to resume their regular responsibilities within the state police force. The Home Department did not disclose further details about the investigation or any subsequent actions.

The Jethwani case, which has attracted media attention, continues to be examined by senior officials, but the government has not provided a timeline for its conclusion.
