The Andhra Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has unveiled new regulations for the upcoming 10th grade board exams, outlining changes in syllabus, examination pattern, and evaluation criteria.
The Andhra Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (APBSE) announced on Thursday a set of comprehensive reforms for the 10th grade board examinations scheduled for the academic year 2024-25.
Key changes include a revised syllabus that aligns with the latest national educational standards, a shift from the traditional paper‑based format to a hybrid model incorporating online assessments, and a new evaluation rubric that places greater emphasis on conceptual understanding rather than rote memorization.
Educators and students are advised to review the updated guidelines, which also introduce a reduced number of compulsory subjects and a streamlined marking scheme to reduce exam stress.
The board has set a deadline of 30 September 2024 for schools to submit their implementation plans, with the first set of exams slated to begin in January 2025.
