Police in Andhra Pradesh have taken into custody a couple who were wanted in connection with a 2022 murder.
Police officials in Andhra Pradesh announced that a husband-and-wife duo, who had been listed as fugitives in a 2022 murder investigation, were apprehended earlier this week. The couple had been evading law enforcement since the homicide was reported, prompting a sustained search effort across the state.
Authorities said the arrest was the result of coordinated intelligence work and field operations, though they did not disclose the exact location where the duo was detained. The police have not released the identities of the suspects, citing procedural requirements.
The investigation into the 2022 murder remains ongoing, with investigators stating that further questioning of the arrested couple will be conducted to establish their role in the crime. No additional details about the victim or the circumstances of the murder have been made public at this stage.
