Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will travel to Delhi for a two‑day visit to seek Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s approval for the Vizag Metro project and other developmental initiatives.
Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheduled to depart from Visakhapatnam on Monday, arriving in Delhi on Tuesday for a two‑day itinerary that includes meetings with the Prime Minister’s office and key central ministries.
The primary objective of the trip is to obtain central government approval and funding for the Vizag Metro, a rapid transit system aimed at easing congestion in the city’s core.
In addition to the metro, the CM plans to discuss other infrastructure projects such as the expansion of the airport, a new IT corridor, and water‑management schemes.
The Andhra government expects that securing the PM’s endorsement will accelerate the start of construction and bring the state closer to achieving its urban mobility goals.
