Former India women's cricketer Anaya Bangar has been confirmed eligible by Cricket Australia to play competitive matches again.
Anaya Bangar, who last represented India in women's cricket in 2022, has received official clearance from Cricket Australia to take part in competitive cricket once more. The governing body announced that Bangar meets all eligibility criteria, allowing her to register for domestic leagues and potentially international fixtures under Australian jurisdiction.
Bangar's return follows a period of absence after she moved to Australia to pursue coaching and playing opportunities. The eligibility confirmation removes any administrative barriers, enabling her to compete in upcoming tournaments such as the Women's National Cricket League.
Cricket Australia’s statement emphasized that the decision aligns with its commitment to support talent development and provide pathways for players with diverse backgrounds. Bangar is expected to join a state side later this season, marking her re‑entry into high‑level cricket.
