Amritsar Police Seize 3.08 Million ml Ethanol, Halt Poisonous Liquor Plot

Punjab’s Amritsar rural police seized 30.80 lakh millilitres of industrial ethanol from a storage facility in the city’s outskirts. The haul is equivalent to 3.08 million millilitres of the solvent, which authorities say was intended for illicit use. Investigators uncovered evidence that the ethanol was to be used in the production of 17,000 bottles of poisonous liquor, a plan that could have endangered thousands of consumers. The operation was carried out under a special task force order, and the seized material has been secured for forensic analysis.
