Amit Shah Predicts NDA to Form Punjab Government in 2027

In a recent statement, Home Minister Amit Shah projected that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would form the government in Punjab by 2027. The assertion was made during a public address in the state, though the exact venue was not disclosed. Shah’s comment comes amid growing discussions about the political future of Punjab, where the Shiromani Akali Dal has been a dominant force. While Shah highlighted the NDA’s growing influence, Akali Dal president Sukhiir Singh Badal also hinted at potential alliances with ideologically aligned parties to counter the BJP’s expansion. Analysts note that the claim reflects the BJP’s ambition to extend its reach into Punjab, but no formal roadmap has been outlined yet.
