Prime Minister Amit Shah has issued a public challenge to opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, inviting him to debate the revision of the electoral roll at any chowk in Haryana.
Amit Shah’s challenge was announced during a press briefing in Delhi, where he urged Rahul Gandhi to come to any chowk in Haryana to discuss the contentious issue of electoral roll revision.
The electoral roll has been a flashpoint, with opposition parties alleging inaccuracies and demanding reforms. Shah’s invitation is viewed as a strategic move ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Rahul Gandhi has not yet responded to the call. The challenge could ignite a public debate and bring renewed scrutiny to the electoral process.
Political analysts suggest that the move aims to pressure the opposition and galvanise support among voters by highlighting the importance of accurate voter lists.
