The BCCI has added left‑arm pacer Auqib Nabi to India's 15‑member squad for the opening three One Day Internationals against New Zealand.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that left‑arm bowler Auqib Nabi has been named in the 15‑player squad for the first three One Day Internationals against New Zealand. The series, which begins later this month, will see India field a balanced side as they look to maintain momentum after recent outings.
Nabi, who has impressed with his swing and control in domestic competitions, brings an additional pace option to a bowling attack already featuring seasoned internationals. His all‑round capabilities also give the team flexibility in the lower order.
Team management said the inclusion reflects Nabi's consistent performances and the need for depth ahead of a competitive series in New Zealand. The move is expected to boost India's bowling depth and provide strategic alternatives as the ODIs unfold.
