Air India flight AI-2030, scheduled to fly from Frankfurt to Delhi, was ordered to divert to Jaipur after authorities received a possible hijack alert. The aircraft touched down safely on the runway of Jaipur International Airport, and all passengers were accounted for without injury.
Security agencies, including the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and local police, immediately began a thorough inspection of the aircraft and its communication logs. Officials said the diversion was a precautionary measure while the authenticity of the threat was verified.
Preliminary statements indicated that no evidence of an actual hijack attempt has been found so far. The investigation will continue to determine the source of the warning and whether any malicious intent was involved.
The airline is coordinating with the airport and security officials to clear the aircraft for onward travel, and affected passengers are being re‑routed to Delhi as soon as possible.
