Air India Express flight from Saudi Arabia to Delhi makes emergency landing in Ahmedabad

An Air India Express flight bound for Delhi from Saudi Arabia was forced to land at Ahmedabad airport after reporting technical issues, Gulf News reports.
A scheduled Air India Express service operating from Saudi Arabia to Delhi diverted to Ahmedabad after the crew reported a technical fault. The aircraft touched down safely at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, and all passengers were disembarked without injury.
Airport officials said emergency services were on standby and coordinated with the airline to ensure a smooth evacuation. The flight, which was carrying several hundred passengers, remained on the ground while engineers inspected the aircraft.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has been notified and a preliminary investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the malfunction. Passengers were provided with accommodation and meals while the airline arranged alternative travel.
Air India Express confirmed that it is cooperating fully with Indian authorities and will keep the public informed as more details emerge.
No further disruptions to other flights at the Ahmedabad airport were reported, and normal operations resumed shortly after the aircraft was cleared for departure.
