The All India Football Federation has imposed a nationwide ban on I‑League side Churchill Brothers, stopping them from signing any new players. The Goan club has issued a statement contesting the suspension.

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced a national ban that bars Churchill Brothers from registering any new players. The sanction applies across all AIFF‑run competitions and prevents the club from adding fresh talent to its roster.

The decision was communicated to the Goan outfit without any accompanying details about the alleged breach, leaving the club and its supporters seeking clarification. AIFF’s action effectively freezes the club’s transfer activity until the ban is lifted.

In response, Churchill Brothers released a statement asserting that the suspension is unwarranted and harms the team’s competitive prospects. The club said it will explore all available avenues, including an appeal, to overturn the restriction and resume normal player registration.
