The Rajasthan government will deploy artificial‑intelligence equipped CCTV cameras at eight major stations in the Jaipur railway division to enhance security and prevent mishaps.

The state transport authority announced that eight key stations in the Jaipur railway division will be upgraded with AI‑enabled surveillance systems. These smart cameras will analyse video feeds in real time, flagging suspicious behaviour and alerting officials before incidents occur.

Officials say the technology will help deter theft, vandalism and unauthorized access, while also providing early warnings for potential safety hazards on platforms and tracks. The rollout is part of a broader effort to modernise railway security across Rajasthan.

Installation work is slated to begin next month, with each camera linked to a central monitoring hub that uses machine‑learning algorithms to identify patterns indicative of risk. The initiative reflects the government's push to leverage digital tools for public safety.

Railway commuters can expect improved monitoring at stations such as Jaipur, Ajmer, and Alwar, though the exact list of eight stations was not disclosed. Authorities will evaluate the system's effectiveness before considering expansion to other zones.
