Ahmedabad Man Arrested Over Rs 7 Lakh Worth of Stolen Gold and Silver

A man was detained by Ahmedabad police after authorities uncovered gold and silver worth approximately Rs 7 lakh in his possession, allegedly stolen from a local jewelry shop.
Ahmedabad police arrested a man on Tuesday after a raid on his residence revealed gold and silver jewellery valued at around Rs 7 lakh. The items were traced back to a local jewellery shop that had reported them missing earlier this month.
According to the police, the suspect had been in possession of the stolen goods for several weeks and was allegedly involved in a wider theft network. He was booked under the Indian Penal Code for theft and possession of stolen property.
The police have stated that they are continuing an investigation into the source of the jewellery and whether other individuals are implicated. The arrested man is currently in custody and has been scheduled for a court hearing.
The jewellery shop owner expressed relief that the items were recovered and praised the police for their swift action.
