The Agrawal community organised a cultural evening at the Agrawal Society Hall in Barmer on Friday night, featuring a dramatized Shiv‑Parvati marriage and a reenactment of Draupadi's disrobing from the Mahabharata.

Barmer, Rajasthan – As part of the Agarseen Jayanti celebrations, the Agrawal community held a cultural program on Friday night at the Agrawal Society Hall on Station Road. The evening began with traditional music and dance, setting a festive tone for the audience of local residents and community members.

The highlight of the program was a stage rendition of the divine marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, presented in a blend of classical choreography and contemporary narration. Organisers said the performance aimed to showcase the cultural heritage of the community while reinforcing values of unity and devotion.

Later, actors performed a dramatized version of the Draupadi chhirharan episode from the Mahabharata, a scene that continues to resonate in Indian cultural memory. The portrayal was intended as a reminder of dharma and resilience, drawing applause from the crowd. The event concluded with speeches from community leaders who thanked participants and reaffirmed the importance of preserving traditional arts.

The festival, marking the birth anniversary of the legendary Agarseen, is an annual gathering that brings together Agrawals from across the region for cultural, religious, and social activities.
