Afghanistan and Bangladesh to play one‑off Test in Abu Dhabi

Afghanistan and Bangladesh are set to meet in a one‑off Test match today at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The fixture marks the only Test encounter between the two sides this season, providing both teams an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the longest format. Organisers have scheduled the match as a standalone event, with no accompanying series attached. Cricket fans in the region are expected to turn out in large numbers to watch the contest between the two emerging cricket nations.

The match comes at a time when both Afghanistan and Bangladesh are looking to strengthen their Test credentials ahead of upcoming international commitments. Playing conditions in Abu Dhabi, known for its flat pitches and warm climate, could favour batting‑heavy displays, though both sides possess a mix of pace and spin options.

The game is being broadcast live on regional sports channels and will also be streamed online, allowing supporters worldwide to follow the action as it unfolds.
