On National Unity Day, ADGP MF Farooki authorized a bike rally in Jalandhar, signalling support for the event.
On 15th August, the day of National Unity Day, the Deputy Inspector General of Police, MF Farooki, gave official approval for a motorcycle rally to be held in Jalandhar.
The rally, organised by local youth groups, was planned to celebrate the spirit of unity and diversity across India. Farooki’s green signal ensured that law‑enforcement resources were allocated to maintain safety and order during the event.
Police officials confirmed that the route would pass through key city landmarks and that traffic management plans were in place. The decision was welcomed by community leaders who view the rally as a peaceful expression of civic pride.
No incidents were reported during the rally, and the event concluded with a brief speech by Farooki, who thanked participants for promoting harmony on the national holiday.
