Actor Sayaji Shinde Visits Karjat to Inspect Tree Cutting and Meet Residents

Sayaji Shinde, a well‑known figure in Marathi cinema, arrived in Karjat this morning as part of a scheduled outreach program. He visited the site where tree‑cutting operations are underway, observing the work and speaking with the contractors to understand the scope of the activity.
The actor’s presence was intended to draw public attention to the environmental impact of the felling and to ensure that the process follows legal and regulatory guidelines. Local officials accompanied him, providing details on permits and re‑forestation plans.
After the site inspection, Shinde moved to a nearby community hall where he interacted with residents. He listened to their concerns about loss of green cover and the potential effects on the local ecosystem, assuring them that the matter would be monitored closely.
The meeting concluded with a call for collective responsibility, urging villagers and authorities to cooperate in preserving the area’s natural resources while addressing any developmental needs.
The visit underscores the growing involvement of public personalities in civic and environmental issues in Maharashtra.
