ACB arrests assistant Yogendra Singh Bhatia and two middlemen for bribery in Banswara

The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Monday seized senior assistant Yogendra Singh Bhatia and two intermediaries at the Banswara Tehsil office, catching them in the act of accepting a bribe.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Rajasthan conducted a sting operation at the Banswala Tehsil office on Monday. Senior assistant Yogendra Singh Bhatia, along with two middlemen, was apprehended while allegedly receiving a cash bribe from a local applicant. The officials were caught red‑handed, and the seized amount has been handed over to the court as evidence.
According to an ACB statement, the operation was part of an ongoing probe into corruption within lower‑level government offices in the state. The bureau said the suspects were identified through surveillance and that the raid was executed without prior warning to prevent tampering with evidence.
The arrested individuals have been remanded to judicial custody, and further investigations will determine the extent of the alleged corruption network. No other officials were reported to be involved, and the ACB has urged the public to report similar instances of bribery.
