An AAP leader released a video highlighting deteriorating air quality in Delhi and Punjab, prompting a sharp response from the BJP and reigniting political tensions.
An AAP leader posted a video on social media showing recent air‑quality readings from Delhi and Punjab, warning that the pollution levels pose health risks to residents. The footage was accompanied by a call for immediate remedial action by the state governments.
BJP officials responded quickly, accusing the AAP of politicising environmental data and demanding clarification on the sources and methodology used in the video. They urged the opposition to focus on constructive solutions rather than political point‑scoring.
The exchange has escalated into a fresh political face‑off, with both parties pledging to address the air‑quality crisis while defending their respective records on environmental governance. Analysts note that the issue remains highly sensitive ahead of upcoming electoral contests in the region.
