A high‑performing ninth‑grade student was discovered hanging herself at home in Indore while her parents were out; police have found no suicide note.
Indore police reported that a ninth‑grade student was found hanging inside her family home on a day when both parents were away. The body was discovered by a relative who entered the house after noticing the door ajar.
The girl, identified as Vaishnavi, was described by neighbours as an academically bright and introverted student who consistently topped her class. Teachers said she had no record of disciplinary issues or recent absenteeism.
Investigators have recovered no suicide note or any other written indication of motive, leaving the reason for the tragic act unclear. The case is being treated as a suspected suicide, and forensic teams are conducting standard examinations.
Authorities have urged schools and families to remain vigilant about the mental well‑being of adolescents, noting a rise in similar incidents across the country.
