85-Year-Old Grandfather Dies After Stick Attack by Grandson in Belia, Anupur, MP

An 85‑year‑old man, Gorlal Panika, died from injuries after his grandson hit him with a stick during a family dispute in Belia village, Jaitpuri police area, Anupur, Madhya Pradesh.
In Belia village, which falls under the Jaitpuri police jurisdiction of Anupur block in Madhya Pradesh, a domestic quarrel turned violent when a grandson struck his 85‑year‑old grandfather, Gorlal Panika, with a wooden stick. The assault left the elder man seriously injured and he was rushed to the district hospital for emergency care.
Medical officials reported that Panika suffered multiple head injuries and internal trauma. Despite intensive treatment, his condition deteriorated and he succumbed to the wounds while admitted to the hospital.
According to eyewitnesses, relatives attempted to intervene during the clash, but the assailant also injured his own father in the ensuing scuffle. Local police have registered a criminal case and are conducting investigations into the family dispute and the assault.
