The government has assigned 74 Central Armed Police Forces companies to ensure security during the upcoming village committee polls in Tripura.

The state of Tripura is set to hold village committee elections in the coming days. To maintain law and order, authorities have mobilised a total of 74 companies from the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). These units will be stationed across various polling stations to deter any untoward incidents and to provide a secure environment for voters.

Election officials have coordinated with the deployed forces to ensure smooth conduct of the polls. The presence of CAPF personnel is expected to enhance voter confidence and facilitate a peaceful voting process.

The move reflects the government's emphasis on safeguarding democratic processes at the grassroots level, especially in remote and sensitive areas of the state.
